DWDM Senior Application Software Engineer (H/F)

Duties and Responsibilities  

As part of the 10 staff DWDM Embedded Software team, reporting the DWDM embedded SW team leader, within the Transport R&D department. In the context of the development and modernization of the DWDM platform, you play a role in the definition and development of software applicable to DWDM Optical Transport Systems.  

you will have the following responsibilities:  

• Actor of an agile scrum team composed of embedded SW and testing members 

• Contribute to user stories detailed specifications and development tasks definition 

• Develop, validate and document Embedded Software for Control and Management / Pluggable Module of the DWDM Product Line 

• Participate to the architecture of the networking of Network Element and set of Network El ement. 

• Investigate, analyze, correct, and document reported defects 

Profile and skills 
As part of a multidisciplinary agile team, you appreciate to work with a high level of autonomy and ownership. You have the opportunity to closely collaborate with End-to-End product development teams (from specification and hardware to validation). 

You appreciate taking part in the constant evolution of your product, taking part in the feasibility studies, definition of the solution and studying the improvement/innovation threads. 

Skills: 

Education: Engineer with software background  

Experience: 10 year+ on programming software and/or firmware 

Skills: 

• Feature development in C/C++ 

• Development on Linux environment (native, VM or WSL) 

• Familiar with GIT/Gitlab and interest in CI/CD process  

• Agile methodology 

• Fluent in English 

• Nice to have / interest in:  

• Yang models / OpenConfig  

• ConfD / Netconf 

• DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) equipment's 

• Drivers/switch 

• Networking in the context of stacking of Network Element (OSPF/BGP, RSTP/MSTP, FRRouting)
